{Nutrition} Mocha Almond Shake Recipe


Hi Everyone!

I had such a lovely response to this picture I posted on Facebook last weekend Here in Boulder, we were having one of those amazing, still-Winter 70+ degrees and full-on-sun Saturdays.. I had run home on sheer endorphins from Pure Barre (where I am an instructor) and

I was craving something smooth, cold, sweet, creamy -- AND healthy. This smoothie covered it all!

Many of you asked for my "Mocha Almond Shake" recipe.. IAlthough I tend to 'wing' these recipes a bit, based on what is on hand or what I'm craving, but I was able to recreate my recipe here! Enjoy!

Mocha Almond Shake (one serving)

1 cup unsweetenend vanilla almond milk

1 cup chilled brewed coffee

1 large handful of (washed) organic baby spinach (you don't taste this!)

1 small frozen banana

2 metjool dates (pitted)

1 Tbsp almond butter

2 scoops ARBONNE Chocolate Protein Shake Mix

1 stick ARBONNE Digestion Plus (pre- and probiotics)

1/2 scoop ARBONNE Fiber Boost

1 Tbsp cacao nibs

4 ice cubes

Place all ingredients (except the ice cubes) in a high speed blender in the order given. Blend on a low speed for 30 seconds until dates and spinach are well chopped. Add ice cubes, blend another 15 secs on low and then gradually increase speed to highest setting and continue to blend for a full minute.

Drink immediately! (You won't be able to wait, anyway.... :)
