Acai Berry Green Protein Smoothie


Happy Monday! Starting a new week ,or even a new day, on a healthy note helps to set the tone for what will follow. We, like our fellow felines, are creatures of habit(s). Creating healthy habits will not only effect your physical health but your emotional and intellectual (brain) health, as well. This Acai Berry Green Protein Smoothie is loaded with antioxidants, fiber and heart healthy fats -- double greens for alkalizing your system, pre- and probiotics for your immune and gut heath, 25 grams of protein to rev up your body, mind, heart and soul to tackle the craziest of Monday schedules! Organic medjool dates naturally sweeten the acai berries without loading the glycemic index -- these little gems packaged and frozen in single serving pouches boast higher anti-oxidant levels than blueberries, in addition to high levels of anthocyanins, a form of plant antioxidant associated with the ability to lower cholesterol levels in the blood stream.

1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond (or coconut) milk

1/2 cup coconut water

2 cups packed baby organic spinach

1 Tbsp chia seeds

2 (pitted) organic Medjool dates

2 scoops Arbonne Vanilla Protein Shake Mix

1 Arbonne Digestion Plus packet (pre- and probiotics)

1 scoop Arbonne Greens Balance

1 Packet Frozen Unsweetened Acai Berries ( I used "Sambazon" brand found in frozen fruit section of large chain grocery store)

4 ice cubes

Place all ingredients (in order above) into a high speed blender. Blend on low setting until the dates, berries, spinach and ice are well chopped. Blast on high setting for an additional 30 seconds and pour into a large glass or shaker cup. Can be made the night before and stored in the fridge for a quick Monday morning grab on the way out the door!
